Wrestling at Beijing 2008
Wrestling competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in
Beijing, China, will be held at the China Agricultural University
Gymnasium from August 9-19, 2007. It will be split into two
disciplines, Freestyle and Greco-Roman which are further divided
into different weight categories. Men will compete in both
disciplines whereas women will only take part in the freestyle
events with 14 gold medals being awarded. An NOC may enter a maximum of 1 athlete per weight class. This is the second
Olympics with women's wrestling as an event. 18 sets of medals
will be awarded in the following events:
